About
Platform Kitchen Dining started out in 2014 as one dinky canteen inside an East London railway arch, slinging Korean fried chicken to a queue of officeworkers sharing a trestle table. Those same chairs were flipped for evening supper clubs that seeped out of the kitchen until 11pm, feeding club nights and anniversaries on cork-wrapped invoices.
We earned steady legs not from gimmicks but from reliable timings: mains off a rebuilt B125 drum oven arrived within the same window whether for two dozen or two hundred, while flake scraps for stock became the bank-stored vats of fragrant braises our menus lean on. Headcount now has eighteen uniforms, but Rachel still checks every garnish after she carts boxes of picked sorrel from Spitalfields market early.
Details take the lead offline: menus of each lineage dine them into the fabric of the tablebook, so VIP dietary strands pull no surprises mid-bite. Porcelain splits bridge vintage gold rims inherited from a collapsed ship caterers, joined by rose-tinted glass sourced from a northbrew barley trial. Good ugly food made pretty is still our heart.
That arch now also clacks with gift funds for future studios, all reserved profits kept to launch a move into Borough of Brentwood's community-dining programs in late November. We're looking, exactly, at two test dates: Christmas and New Year's Eve for charity in E14, and expect them online by Thursday. Slots there will be zero-hassle, first catch as catch can.
For Platform Kitchen Dining, drop us your tentative date backfilled with event width, and we'll allot the vaulted prep hours that fit all sanity rails for your plan.
